written & performed by Kevin Norberg

In a soaring solo stage performance, actor-singer Kevin Norberg takes you along on an unforgettable journey as Tevye discovers the “Streets of Gold” in New York, 1911.

This is the long-awaited sequel to Fiddler On The Roof  — a ninety-minute, high energy, non-stop adventure through the rest of the story.  Ellis Island, the tenements and sweatshops, the squalor of the Lower East Side, all told with Tevye’s trademark wit and charm. The dairyman’s youngest daughters and their American suitors continue to test his patience, while Tevye makes a small fortune and blows it, all in the same day! (No, Bernie Madoff doesn’t make a cameo appearance, but you’re close...)

Norberg plays all the characters, performs all the music, misquotes all the famous sayings and parables, cries all the tears and, ultimately, laughs his way to triumph over all of Tevye’s setbacks, all in 5400 seconds. By himself.

And still without a horse, of course.

If you’ve seen Fiddler on stage, own the DVD, read the original stories, and named your baby Sholem Aleichem, say Mazeltov! and seek professional help. But first see TEVYE! The One-Man Show.

TEVYE! The One-Man Show

Minnesota native Kevin Norberg, the writer and solo performer, got the idea for the show after playing Tevye on stage since the age of 20. Norberg appeared as Tevye in the world’s first non-Equity production of Fiddler On The Roof. Since then, he’s performed the role for dozens of venues, at conventions, and even on national television.

But Norberg wanted to know “the rest of the story...” What happens to these characters as immigrants in America? He began crafting his sequel from plot threads found in the century-old stories of Sholem Aleichem, on which Fiddler was also based.

Norberg is a professional actor who has performed on stage for audiences totaling more than 1.5 million. He was also a member and recording artist with the renowned Dale Warland Singers, one of the world’s finest professional vocal ensembles, earning a nomination for a Grammy award (2004).

Norberg is also writing an adaptation of his original story as a novel Tevye and The Streets of Gold, and a fully-staged Broadway musical Fiddler in America, which is currently in pre-production.

“For a Tevye fan, Norberg’s show is a must-see. If you’re not a fan, you will be!”

says New York’s Daily Back Word.

“Even those who have never seen Fiddler On The Roof will find Kevin Norberg’s frantic creation of the sequel entertaining!” says the Delancey News-Gazette.

Two million immigrants. 533 laughs. 90 minutes. 35 characters.

One man to do it all.
